New Construction Windows & Doors

Windows, multi-slide doors and large glass walls for custom homes, additions and remodels — supplied and installed for builders and owners.

Floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding glass doors installed in a new A-frame home

On a new home, the windows are a structural, weather-proofing and design decision all at once. Legacy Glass supplies and installs windows and glass doors for custom homes, additions and major remodels across Northern Nevada and the Lake Tahoe basin.

We work with general contractors, builders, architects and owner-builders — from walking the plans and helping select products, to scheduling delivery around your build and installing to the manufacturer’s requirements so warranties stay intact.

What we offer

New Construction Windows options

Every project is different. Here’s what we can do for yours.

Nail-fin window installation

Properly flashed and integrated with the weather-resistive barrier, so water is shed away from the opening rather than into the wall.

Large picture & gable windows

Tall view windows, clerestories and angled gable glass that frame Sierra and valley views.

Sliding & multi-slide doors

Patio sliders and wide multi-panel door systems that open living spaces to decks and yards.

Additions & remodels

Matching new openings to existing windows, or upgrading the whole house while the walls are open.

Builder coordination

Product selection, quotes from plans, delivery scheduling and a single point of contact for the glazing scope.

Commercial new builds

Windows and storefront glass for offices, retail and light commercial projects.

Built for Northern Nevada conditions

Homes here deal with freeze-thaw cycles, strong afternoon wind, high UV exposure and — at Tahoe elevations — heavy snow loads. Window choice and installation detail both matter: frame material, low-E coating selection by exposure, and careful flashing at the sill and head are what keep a new house tight and dry for decades.

For homes at higher elevations, insulated glass units may need to be built or adjusted for altitude. We will flag that early so it is handled at the factory rather than discovered on site.

From our customers

Don’t take our word for it.

“Exceptional service — and fast”

I recently had Legacy Glass replace all the windows in my 1990s home, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the results. From start to finish, the entire process was smooth and professional. The sales rep was knowledgeable and helped me choose the perfect energy-efficient windows for my home and budget.

When the installation team arrived they quickly got to work removing the old windows and installing the new ones. It only took one day to install 20+ windows. The next day they finished all the trim work. The difference in my home is night and day — the new windows look fantastic and have significantly reduced outside noise and improved temperature control.

“No high-pressure sales, no problems”

When looking for a company to replace my windows, I first tried the companies that fill my mailbox regularly. Their prices were ridiculous and their sales guys were so pushy. This was NOT my experience with Legacy Glass.

Pedro patiently walked me through their window options, clearly explaining the benefits of each. What impressed me most was his honesty — he not only highlighted what we needed but also pointed out what would be unnecessary spending. He focused on finding the best solution for our home rather than pushing the most expensive option.

Do you work directly with builders and general contractors?

Yes. We regularly quote from plans, coordinate delivery with the build schedule and install as the glazing subcontractor. Homeowners building their own home are welcome too.

Can you install windows I have already purchased?

In many cases, yes. Call us with the manufacturer and product details and we will let you know. Installing to the manufacturer’s instructions is important for the warranty.
